The New Logo of International Indonesian Airlines

PT (Persero) Garuda Indonesia is the national airline of Indonesia. It is named after the mythical bird Garuda. In Indian Vedic tradition, Garuda is the carrier of the Hindu god Vishnu; a representation of Garuda appears in the coat of arms of Indonesia. The airline is based in Jakarta at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
The airline flies to a number of destinations in South-East,East Asia, the Middle East and Australia. It also previously flew to several destinations in Europe and North America. However, as of June 2008, Garuda, along with all Indonesian airlines, is banned from flying to the EU.
Becaise the good intention from government and company to increase the quality of service, then in 2009, Garuda Indonesia will use the new logo and sign at their planes for international destination.

Opinion About Obama

After the short event at State Department, where Obama speaking Indonesia languange with a diplomat, there are many opinion about that. I found many positive and negative respond in the other blogs.

From Australia:
Australian people do not be surprise if the Indonesian Government asks the USA President Barak Obama to intimidate the Australian Government to give half of Australian land to the Muslims of Indonesia. In 2005 the Indonesian Government showed a new map of Australia to the former Prime Minister of Austraia and asked for half of Australia. Do not be surprise if Barak Obama starts firing missiles on Australian cities using U.S. spy planes. Barak Obama even knows how to speak Indonesian. It is time to rise up and force the USA to close down their 31 USA bases here in Australia and kick their ass all the way to Indonesia and the USA. The USA President Barak Obama is an Indonesian wolf on sheep skin.

From Malaysia:
Be careful about Indonesia, you may get eaten there, literally. No, no, Obama must not show off his Indonesian background. There are people there, in Jakarta, who are too happy to blow up anything American. There are the scamers, smooth talking, who are ready to strike any American within striking distance.
In Malaysia, we simply shoot Indonesians, because we simply know then as criminals. They break homes, rob people, and rape women. The police catch them, alright, but the courts let them free on bail. Then they would disappear by running across the border. They would come back after a while a repeat same crimes again.
We get tired of them, that is why we shoot them. Next time Obama show off his Indonesian roots, we cringe.

Hei hussein,how many Indonesian who builds construction in your country? how many Indonesian work as a helper in your country? an how many Indonesian kicked out from your country without any earning? your people just utilize Indonesian and throw them away. without Indonesian, your buildings just hut. the question is why Malaysian cannot build by themselves? because they just eat teh tarek and nasi lemak and becoming fat. they just can insult anyone,but work less.

Why is everyone so surprised? He lived there and stated he spoke the language? LOL I lived in Japan, I know some Japanese, I worked with Deaf kids, I know sign Language. It happens. BTW Michelle Obama knows ASL too, all the more why I adore her.

Erm... from what I could hear, it sounded like all he said was 'thank you' and 'how are you' in Indonesian. No more than you' d expect from an average tourist. But it's gratifying nonetheless that he made the effort. It's more than a lot of other Americans, including Bush, would have done.

I hope with many respond, postive or negative, the fact speaks Obama is the first US President in 20 years that respect East culture likes Indonesia. We, Indonesia people, just want say, "Mr. Obama, thank you very much beacuse you didn't forget Indonesia. We appreciate that. We hope you can travel to Indonesia and discuss with our president about our country's relationship in the future."

Indonesia Still Obama's Languange

Indonesia. The country where Obama was live and gets education like normal people. So it's not confused if Obama still can speak Indonesian languange until now. Barack Obama put on a bilingual display today while visiting the State Department. Obama, who lived in Indonesia from 1967 to 1971, until the age of ten, broke into Indonesian after being greeted by a State Dept,  named Charles Silver, knowing the President once lived in Indonesia, shouted out, "good afternoon" in the local language.

Charles Silver : Selamat siang, bapak (Good afternoon, sir)
Obama          : Terima kasih.......baik-baik saja (Thank you......I'm fine)
                 And you are......?
Charles Silver : Oooh.... I stationed at Indonesia many time
Obama          : I know it, you have excellence influence
Charles Silver : Thank you, someday I hope we can meet at Indonesia
Obama          : O yeah...I already missed my living home
Charles Silver : I ever lived at Menteng
Obama          : That's the place where rich people lived. I was at Menteng Dalam
